Hi all: I just downloaded the plugin, and am getting this error when I try to activate it. Obviously, I can’t deactive aWeber as this is what I use to build my list. Any suggestions?

“Sorry, AWeber Web Forms requires PHP 5.2 or higher. Please deactivate AWeber Web Forms.”

    Thanks,

    Nancy

  • You need to contact your webhost and check if they have the latest PHP version running on the server.

Thanks Senff. I will contact my webhost. Is it odd that I am getting an error message for aweber when I’m downloading this plugin?

    Thanks again,

    Nancy

Not sure how this is related to BackUpWordPress?

Try posting on the Aweber plugin forums, but yes Senff is right.

Thanks, Paul. I don’t understand it either, but the error box only pops up at the top of the page when I click to activate the backup plugin. It is preceded by: “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” That is always followed by the odd Aweber error message, and this is the only time these errors appear.

Could you link me to that plugin?

Do you know what version of PHP is running on your hosting account? That information is usually visible in your hosting control panel somewhere, otherwise, ask them.
