   I just down loaded the backup wordpress plug in, ran it -- and now my theme is wiped out -- and none of my photos are loaded. What happened?

   Turn off the plugin, remove any code you changed to call the plugin.

   Remove the plugin altogether if necessary.

   Get in touch with the plugin author to see if any updates are out or forthcoming.

   I have deactivated the plug in, and removed it. However, My site is still not showing the posts or the theme, or the images.
   the htacess file looks like it's in the wrong place -- under content.

   I've looked again -- and my site has still not recovered -- any ideas?
