    Hi.

I’ve had a major crash after using the “Better WP Security” plug-in, so I had to get help from my webhost to restore my site. I received two backup files which they’ve placed in a folder in the root directory (I’ve downloaded it to my comp. via FTP, just in case).

The first file is: “mydomain.com_http which is a TAR-file on about 190k kb.

The other is:”mydomain_com.sql which is a GZ-file on 500 kb.

I have to import these via phpMYadmin, but I’m not sure which one to import. The TAR file or the GZ file – Maybe both?

And do I remove the folder with these two files my webhost placed in the root directory? In that case, before or after restoring the site via phpMYadmin?

    Thanks.

The .gz file looks like it’s a database backup.

before or after restoring the site via phpMYadmin?

As long as you have your own copies, I don’t think it matters.
