Backup sizes have doubled with 3.1?

    Installed 3.1 and noticed backups (folders and database)that were around 91MB with 3.0.13 are now 191mb-200MB. Never saw what was causing it same number of folders and database was about the same size of around 60mb. Uninstalled 3.1.1 and installed 3.0.13 and things are back to 91mb range again. Apparently the zip process is broken? Was using Tar GZip.

    Hello!

    On a multisite WordPress Installation with 3 Sites the backup size was about 300-500 MB (can’t say exactly), and after an update it is 2,2GB.

    FWIW, I’m not experiencing that on my sites.

    fssbob, did you happen to go back through your job settings and reset anything? Wondering if that needs doing? I didn’t as it was an “update” and typically didn’t need to be done. Wondering if maybe a new job needs to be created from scratch? I did not try that. I have since removed 3.1.1 and reverted back to 3.0.13

    I used a previously-created backup job. I doubt it matters, but I made one update: unchecked the “Errors Only” box under the job’s General Settings tab.
