Trying to set up backupwordpress for the first time. It is giving me this error "BackUpWordPress has detected a problem. wp-cron.php is returning a Operation timed out after 5008 milliseconds with 0 bytes received response which could mean cron jobs aren't getting fired properly. BackUpWordPress relies on wp-cron to run scheduled back ups. See the FAQ for more details."
I tried everything in the FAQ. It is creating a slew of folders under my wp-content/uploads folder that only have an empty index.html file. When I manually watch the backup is creates a ZIP file and DB backup file but then appears to delete them when it fails.
No backups are shown as being successful or failing in the main control panel screen. I have set up the alternate CRON variable as suggested in the FAQ.
