   Hi,

   I just noticed that all of my backups have failed. I just tried a manual back up and got the following error message:

   A filesystem operation failed while processing 'Database/OBFW_Database.sql' for backup.
   If the following error message is not clear as to the problem and the issue persists, please contact support providing the complete event log for the activity. Diagnostic information follows:

   Failed at: 304(/home/concierg/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup/include/tables.php)
   An error happened at: disk.php(545)
   fopen(/home/concierg/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup/tmp/gzipbuffer.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory

   Do you know what it means? If I can fix it?

   Hi,

   Does this happen every time you run the backup? Or only on occasion?

   Can you provide the information from the Help & Support page of the plugin?

   Hi laylaroberts

   We've discovered a problem in our plugin that can cause this. We will fix it over the weekend and release an update, 2.2.17, which will fix the issues.

   In some instances our cleanup code is running when it shouldn't be and deleting that file which is needed. I'll update when we've released the fix.

   Unfortunately, I am getting this error message now:

   "The backup timed out too many times and no progress was made on any attempt. Your server may be running extremely slow at this time - try scheduling the backup during a quieter period."

   I have tried it 3 times (including quieter times as its suggests) and I keep getting it.

   Apparently some of my files are too big...about 6-7mb.

   Any suggestions?

   Ok,

   Can you run our trace version to get more information? It'll help diagnose the issue. Ill copy and paste details below:

   You can download a version 2.2.16 trace version here:
   https://wordpress.backup-technology.com/wponlinebackup-472-tracing.zip

   You'll need to uninstall the plugin you have installed (you'll lose your settings so remember to write down any encryption keys!) Then you'll need to upload this tracing one and activate it.

   Once you've set it up again, try running some backups and reproduce your issue. A trace.log file will appear in your FTP folders at /wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup-472-tracing/trace.log. Please download this file, compress it (Windows, right-click Send To -> Compressed ZIP File, Mac, right-click Compress), then email it to support "at" backup-technology.co.uk and put a link to this topic in the email message too so we know who sent it.

   After we receive it we can work out what is causing your problems and see if we need to make some adjustments to our plugin or if there are some configuration adjustments we can make such as memory usage.

   Hi Jason,

   I followed most of your steps, up until trying to do the back up again using the Tracing Plugin.

   I got the same error message as before (ie - The backup timed out too many times and no progress was made on any attempt. Your server may be running extremely slow at this time - try scheduling the backup during a quieter period), with 18 errors.

   However, I am not sure where to find: /wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup-472-tracing/trace.log

   Hi,

   If you login to your FTP you should be able to find it. Alternatively, you could email your website URL to support "at" backup-technology.co.uk instead and we might be able to download it.

   Hi Layla.

   In case anyone has a similar issue. You deactivated a plugin and it increased available memory to WordPress. Seems a plugin was using up alot of memory and the backup was struggling due to this. Once a specific plugin (not sure which) was disabled it fixed the problem.

   However you needed more quota so we increased it for you.
