My backup was about 150 mbs and then jumped to 3 gbs overnight without much change to the site. I just updated the plugin and the problem is still occurring. I’m also getting this error at the top of the screen. The wp-cron.php file is in the root directory of the site.

BackUpWordPress has detected a problem. wp-cron.php is returning a 404 Not Found response which could mean cron jobs aren’t getting fired properly. BackUpWordPress relies on wp-cron to run scheduled back ups. See the FAQ for more details.

See the FAQ for details on the cron error (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/backupwordpress/faq/)

Regarding the size of your backups, you’ll need to work out what is taking up that extra space, the best way is to take a look inside the large zip file, either by downloading it and unzipping or by unzipping it on the server.

Hi. I recently noticed the following message when I was checking to make sure my blog was being backed up. What does this mean (see message below) and how can I rectify the problem? I am not knowledgeable about how to code so please be specific and let me see if I can follow your instructions. Thank you. Nikki http://www.dayswithus.com
