backup is not generating and email is not sending

    I am using wordpress 3.5.1 version. I installed BackUpWordPress plugin for wordpress database backup and files. My issue is backup is not generating in wordpress dashboard and it is not sending to email also.We have scheduled backup on hourly. My website has SSL certificate enabled. Is there an issue with SSL certificate.Because on development server,the plugin is working fine. can anybody help me for solving this issue.I am trying since two days for solving this issue.
