    I have written a snarky remark on this message, but have decided to moderate myself and remove it.

    I will sum it up. you are probably wrong, as the user action (adding the widget) is the one that adds the link to the developer site, which is rather a consent.

    Nobody is forcing you into using this plugin.

    Ok, thanks. It looks like a great plugin any way. I will deploy it on my blog after some more local testing, and perhaps some editing to take out the features I don’t need.
