I'd like to store my wp-config.php file in the directory above my WordPress install, as recommended in Hardening WordPress in the Codex. For a site installed in the root, this means wp-config is outside the web-root (or public_html) folder.
I don't see a way to have BackWPup back up this file. I see that I can back up any directory by path, using the Include Folders to Backup field under File Backup, but not a way to select a single file. Is this possible?
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/backwpup/
In Version 3 it will give a option to back it up.
In moment i have no realy god solution for this.

Hi Daniel
On my website WordPress is installed in a sub-folder (i.e. public_html/wp). So BackWpUp backs up all files inside this folder.
However, even if I manually provide the public_html/ folder to backup, it still backs up only the wp subfolder. As a result, my root directory files such as sitemap.xml, robots.txt, favicon.ico, etc. are not getting backed up.
Is this a known issue that BackWpUp will not backup files/folders above the WordPress install directory?
Thanks
Vijay
