    Hey All,

First off, thanks for reading this thread and trying to help.

    Ok, my site: http://wrdclark.freehostia.com/

Customising the 'Spreeksel' Theme to be vaguely Vista-ish. The main background (applied to the 'content' div) is bizarrely offset in IE6. It kicks it 700px+ to the right. When i re-position it using conditional comments, the left side of the image doesn't appear at all, as if it has been cut off, or covered.

In IE7 it's fine (I mainly test in IE7). Can't remember the Firefox result at the moment.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

IMHO you have a very unsound CSS positioning schemata which is a fatal mix of floats and absolute positioning. You are going to struggle with this. My advice would be to adjust or adopt a theme with a solid foundation then edit the CSS.

Thanks for the reply. I'd never looked too deep into the positioning of the elements, so thanks for the insight.

I think I've grown bored of this theme anyway. I may try for the most clich├ęd 'Web 2.0' theme ever!
