this does not make sense to me... it's not there, yet it's in the header, not the single.php, so I don't see why there would be a difference. I've looked over all the involved php files and haven't found any solution..
    anybody help would be awesome.

If by the background image you mean the one the displays the greyish background for the sidebar, you should note the default (Kubrick) theme does not display the sidebar on single post pages, hence the background image is different. See this post for more:

And this for manually altering single posts to display the sidebar:

If you meant some other background image, please specify it as I don't see any other *problem* on your site.

ok.. so the header image (the one at the very top) should still be the same though, shouldn't it?

I'm just really confused because I haven't changed anything that should have affected this as far as I know (not on how single post pages it doesn't display any of the images from the top...

I will have to read closely this link and see if I can figure out what might be wrong..

The header calls kubrickheader.jpg, and the single post calls header.php, so i don't know why single posts aren't showinb kubrickheader.jpg... it is illogical to meee

    Yes.

Is this your problem? If so, what browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your browser's cache? I'm not seeing a problem with the header image on your blog from here (tested in Firefox 1.0.6 and Internet Explorer 6).
