I've done probably something and now, when editing a post, all the backend dashboared is displayed on one column only (althouth the screen options shows two columns)...can anyone help?

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Posted 1 year ago #I'll try these steps as it did happend on more than one site I'm running WP 3.1...thanks for the tips.
The problem is that once I change from 2 columns to 1 column the back-end is going to stay like that even after I switch back to 2 columns layout for article editing.
