Awesome FP won't work on my new site

Greetings:
I had the misfortune of having to recreate my website in a different account at the same webhost for DNS reasons (I wanted to change my DNS but 000webhost wouldn’t let me and directed me to create a new account with the new DNS). The only difference between this and the previous installation is the new WP 3.8.1 update, so I think that might be the problem, but I’m getting this error at the moment of installation:
“The plugin generated 1412 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”
And even if I want to use it ignoring the warning, the upload buttons won’t work.
I really, REALLY want to use AFP for my site, as I consider it to be superior to all other portfolio plugins, but I can’t get an answer leading me to fix the error and make it work. Please help!
