   Installed today the latest version of this plugin and activated.
   Configured the options
   Dragged the widget into the sidebar
   Chose the categories required and name etc and saved

   Refreshed page

   Widget header shows

   No categories - nothing
   cleared cache and cookies - still nothing

   Tried all main, up to date browsers - still nothing

   Any ideas what is wrong ??

   To expand : this plugin installs 3 widgets
   1. Extended Categories - described above - shows nothing but header
   2. Extended Categories - Groups - shows nothing but header ( group created and selected and page choice made)
   3. Extended Categories - Top Categories - works as it should

   What are your settings in the widget?

   Peter,

   Thanks for your interest...I have investigated further and found a conflict between this plugin and a DevPress User Profile Widget ..when I deactivate the user widget the categories appear..when I use the user widget the categories disappear ....

   To think that all I want to do is show some selected categories and an about widget ... can it really be this difficult??

   @petervanderdoes

   after further testing it seems to be working OK ..it was definitely that widget causing a conflict and there may even have been a second although I cannot confirm yet... anyway I sent a message to Justin at DevPress ..he will probably take a took ... just a little time consuming narrowing down the issue ...thanks for the plugin...
