We use BuddyPress as well as a user plugin with WP. Is there any way to link the avatar to the member’s account on our website? Or, does it come from Twitter? I can’t find any link to avatar, only information about how to take it off.

The avatars are displayed using WordPress’ get_avatar() function rather than something custom in CampTix, so you’ll want to look at ways to customize WordPress’ avatars (which use Gravatar.com).
