    Hello,

I just realized that some pictures of my wordpress had been "deleted". They're still in my Medias but not available anymore on my website page.

They were actually movies stills from Back to the future, taken from a DVD I own, with the following mention under the pictures : "© Robert Zemeckis’ BACK TO THE FUTURE, 1985."

Were these pictures deleted because of any copyright infringement ? I thought I could only "quote" some seconds of this movie without doing copyright infringement (because of the mention I put) but laws are maybe not the same in US than Belgium.

Anyway, I don't want to do any copyright infringement, but I just wanted to know what happened, and know if it's a copyright thing or a technical problem.

    Thanks for your help !

PS : Sorry for my english mistakes, I usually speak French, so I did my best in english !

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

PS: Your English is far better than my French :-)

Looks like you have a permissions problem on your site. Check that anti-hotlinking isn't enabled in your hosting account. If it is, try disabling it.

You appear to be hotlinking your images from another website (http://maedusa.com). Most site owners have code that specifically prevents this because they don't like people stealing their bandwidth.

The images are actually being blocked by a 403 forbidden error... so either the site you're hotlinking from forbids hotlinking, or something is with the file permissions is screwed up on their server.

I did a mistake and use the wrong url, stupid me.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your time, sorry for the stupidity of all this :)
