   I know how the autosave works from WP.com, but I can't get it to work on my installs. Is there something that needs to be enabled for the ajax to work?

   I can't get autosave to work either. Also using 2.1 in Firefox 2.0.0.1. I assume it's supposed to work the same as it does at wordpress.com but no luck.

   Not sure if this is useful or not: I've noticed, in my installs, that autosave only happens when writing a new post. Editing an existing post doesn't autosave (thankfully!)

   No, I created a new post just to test it and let it sit with a half written paragraph for 5 minutes. Still no luck. :(
