    I was showing these 3 websites to a friend:
    http://www.gazeboinferro.com
    http://www.ideeperarredarecasa.it
    http://www.erecinzionimetalliche.com
    All are with xwp 3.8.1 and skylab theme and the big image in homepage was not loading with a misterious error of an old version of internet explorer. And into the error title there was the keyword: Autoptimize.
    After deleting autoptimize then he was able tosee the websites correclty with internet explorer. Other browsers are ok instead.
    I?m sorry but I'm not able actually to tell you the IE version and I don't know if I will be aver able.

    In general; it is perfectly normal to have to configure Autoptimize to exclude some JavaScript. Given the complexity of cross browser support for JS, it is also possible everything works perfectly in modern browsers, but dinosaur-browsers require some extra configuration as well.

    Now it's hard to tell without being able to see the actual error, but in general when using jquery (as on those sites) you'll often have to configure Autoptimize to exclude jquery.js from javascript optimization. In your case you might have to exclude jquery.royalslider.min.js as well.

    Some more trial & error might be required, but -in my opinion- the performance gains is worth the effort ;-)

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Your answer mean that I can optimize HTML and CSS, but it's better to not Optimize JavaScript Code, I'm right?

    yes and no. these are your options;

    * if old IE's are not important (how many % visits to those sites are on IE6 or IE7?): optimize javascript anyway
    * if old IE's are important and you don't have time to investigate: do not optimize JS.
    * if old IE's are important and you have a bit of time; exclude jquery.js and jquery.royalslider.min.js and see if that solves the problem. optionally also throw "look only in head" and/ or "force in head" in the mix.
