automatically implementing user-selected styles from site on blog (4 posts)

I built my own wordpress theme so that my blog would look like the rest of my site (which I manage outside of wordpress). I also want to offer user-selected alternate styles on my site, but those obviously don't automatically translate onto the blog itself. I know I'd have to build the same style for my site and the blog -- but is there any way to automatically 'flip the switch' on the blog if someone selects an alternate style on my main site? I'd like to avoid the situation whereby someone selects a new theme on my homepage, and then visits the blog only to find it looks like the original theme. Thanks!

Some Javascript & PHP style-switching options:

I think so -- whatever method switching method you decide on, you can use the same code in your WP templates and in your non-WP pages; is that what you mean?

Take a look at Ryan Boren's theme switcher.

Thanks for both the comments. Sam_a, I plan on using javascript switching on my site. I believe you're saying that identical javascript code and identically named CSS default & alternate stylesheets on both my site and my wordpress blog would do the trick. Yes? That would make sense, as the blog sits on my server, and the cookie should reference the alternate sheet, if selected.

vkaryl, the themeswitcher plugin only applies to the blog itself, correct? It wouldn't translate to my non-wordpress hosted pages, would it?

    again, thanks!
