maybe I have searched the wrong keywords but I haven't found anything about it yet. Here's what I'm looking for:
My problem has different parent categories and also uses sub-categories, I have now so many posts that I do not want to change it all manually. I want the parent category activated when activating a child / sub category of it. For Example if you have a parent category named "Reviews" and the sub categories are "Books", "Music" etc. I want "Reviews" also activated when hitting one of its sub categories. Since I have hundreds of posts I cannot change them all manually without stop working on the website and putting new content on it. Now I am looking for a way doing this, mentioned above, automatical and also affects the older posts.
Is there a possibility do just that?
