   I have searched and seen a few suggestions on how to fix this, but none seem to work for me.

   When I try to do the auto upgrade for plugins or even wordpress, it requests FTP information. WP used to do this automatically, but I recently switched to a new server and this no longer works. I have complete access to the server and am willing to try any suggestions!

   Install suPHP. If your server is setup to run with suPHP, then it can directly upgrade itself, without the need for ftp credentials.
