   Hi
   I know I"m using a very old version but on my dashboard it gives me the option to automatic upgrade but this process fails at step 3 (after the backup). I think step 3 is when it tries to retrieve the latest version of wordpress.

   Can anyone help please?

   OK.

   so the auto upgrade only works with 2.7 and above. Trying to do manually...

   You will need to upgrade in steps.
