Automatic Email To Custormer With New Post

    Does anyone know what would be the best way to automatically send a regular customer my new Posts using their Email address? I know they can get it using the RSS feed but I prefer to have it automatically sent to them via Email.

    The website “The Sweet Beet” does this with my Email address,and I can go to her and find out if no one knows a simple method.

    Try installing a feedburner plugin.

    Thanks esmi, I will look into that….have no clue what it is.

    Someone else suggested offering the customer the option to be put on a list to receive the mailings, otherwise it might be considered spam without their specific permission. Need to check into that, as well. Any idea on how to offer them this option? I will probably have to contact The Sweet Beet as her site has this option, which I signed up for, and from which I receive an Email every time a new Post is made.

    Feedburner allows a user to subscribe to your RSS feed by email and receive email notifications.

    Thanks t-p for your thoughts. I have a Google account and have decided to use a feedburner they offer. I am just about done getting that set up.

    If I decide to go with the snippit, between what symbol and what symbol do I insert the code?

    t-p….well, the Google feedburner thing didn’t work for me so I will need to try your snippet.

    Please let me know exactly where to place the code in file…..I am a PC illiterate.

    the WP-Snippet link states: Simply place this code into your functions.php file. That functions.php should be in your theme’s folder along with other theme templates.

    On the Snippet page you may also post any specific questions regarding this Snippet.
