   I am attempting to update to the current wordpress. I hit update automatically and I get a message:

   Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.2.1.zip…

   Download failed.: Empty reply from server

   Installation Failed

   Any clue what a guy should do?

   you may try manual update: http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update

   Thanks for the tip, I wonder why the automatic update doesn't work? It's worked on other sites, many times. I'm a little worried about deleting the wrong files, manually.

   It might be related to the server level problem. Have you contacted them? Does they allow curl?

   Server level problem might be the issue on why auto update doesn't work. But for now you can actually just try manual update. Just make sure you update all the files before you update it.

   Ravimallya, Thanks, I will contact them, what does "curl" mean?

   Richard, thanks for the tip, I downloaded the WP Update, OK. I will just have to polish up my FTP skills.
