Auto Upgrade failing on WAMP

    I’ve run into an issue using the auto upgrade on a WAMP server. For some reason it only gets this far:

    Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.8.1.zip.

    Unpacking the update.

    The entire wordpress-2.8.1.zip has downloaded fine, but when I look in wp-content/upgrade it’s only half extracted. What the hell?

    Auto Upgrading plugins appears to work fine.

    Tearing my hair out 😛

    Hi,

    Check with these:

    -> disable all plugins and check with upgrade
    -> assign require permissions to the wordpress folder.
    -> If these can not work then do manual upgrade to your blog.
