   I searched and didn't see anything that resembled my question.

   I manually upgraded to 3.0 from 2.9.1. The site comes up, everything looks find but on my dashboard I'm getting a message that says the automated update failed, and link to please attempt the update again. Which is weird since I didn't choose the auto update. But when I click the link it tells me I have the latest version and that I don't need to update, only that I can choose to re-install the newest version if I want.

   How do I make the messeage go away?

   Is that the exact error message?

   The first thing that springs to mind is that your database upgrade didn't complete.

   well after i was done i went to log into my admin page and it gave me an error, a 404 type page (dont remember excately which page though) and i hit the f5 key, after it refreshed a page with the WP logo came up saying it needed to rebuild or upgrade the db and i clicked the button and after a few minutes it refreshed and i was logged into my dashboard.
