   I was using 3.0 and waited until 3.0.1 was released in my language (pt-br) and then used the autoupdate button on my Dashboard.... but I got 3.1 alpha!

   I visited the pt-br WP forum and there was already a thread there with this issue, but no answer yet.

   What's the safe way to install 3.0.1 over this 3.1? My site is live and running, but I DID missed a draft post (and all autosaves were blank as well - only title, categories and tags were there! Someone might want to report this to right place)

   People are complaining in the PT-BR (brazilian) forum, looks like it happened to a lot of users.

   We are still running 3.1 alpha, please give instructions on how to safely install 3.0.1 in our language.

   Would someone please give us some advice? The brazilian staff is giving us zero support on this, no official statement, no solution, nothing.
   There are people like me with an alpha version on production sites, because we believe in the "Automatically update to 3.0.1" button.

   And I also had the same problem (3.1-alpha) after the auto update version "pt-BR". My luck is that it was a beta installation.

   What's troubling is the lack of guidance.

   What to do?
