Does anyone get stuck in the auto-updater at this point?

Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.8.4.zip.

(it doesn’t do anything after that. I’ve let it sit for up to 10 minutes)

I would prefer not to do a manual, unless that’s that everyone recommends…

Same issue, doesn’t appear to be any other solution other then manual upgrade? I do not have any plugins activated at all.

Could be a memory issue. Try bumping it up by adding this code –
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’); – to you wp-config.php

Thanks updating the memory limit worked instantly.

Can anyone advice if I should keep that piece of code there or remove it after the upgrade?
