Auto update page showing maintenance message

    Hi guys

    I’m on a multi site installation using the newest wordpress.

    After using the auto update funcionality as usual (.com/wp-admin/network/update-core.php) I get an error whenever I try to use it again:

    “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.”

    This messange ONLY appears on the updates page in the dash board – not anywhere else neither on front end nor back end.

    I CANNOT find any .maintenance file in my root wp folder using my ftp program with hidden files on.

    Can you help me.
