Auto update links to images and files after changing blog URL

I’ve been working on a site using wordpress without publishing it yet. I made a bunch of posts and uploaded some images. The location of the blog was localhost at first then I changed it to an IP address, all the images were unaccessible. Drove me nuts to fix all the links manually.

Could you guys do something to update the links to images and internally uploaded files? That would seriously rock.

The guys at wikimedia for their free version of wikipedia does it and it makes life really easy when one needs to change the url of their site.
