  • Sure, use a theme that is Responsive.

So it’s all based on the theme? Nothing I can do to change it if it is not very responsive?

Actually I had an idea. So if I want my website to stay at a specific resolution what can I do about that?

Well, you could try to adapt the theme to make it responsive. But responsive design is an art in itself: in most cases, unless the theme is very simple, it’s easier and more effective to start from scratch with a theme that is in fact designed to be responsive, rather than tinkering endlessly with a fixed-width layout.

Not sure what you mean by that.

Could I make my website stay at a resolution like 1280×720? So no matter what size monitor the person uses, it will show up the same size?

Do you mean forcing the browser window to a particular size? For non-mobile devices, possibly/probably. I’ve never tried. However, on no account should you do something like that. The idea makes no sense at all unless your objective is to annoy the hell out of your users.

If any website attempted to force a resize of my browser window without my permission, the first thought to pop into my head would be “scam”, the second thought would be “how do I get out of here”, and there wouldn’t be a third thought because I would have exited your website by that point, never to return.

Thanks thanks haha. I just have a big screen, so there is a lot of empty space I see, not sure how I can fill in that space more.
