• I understand that using the <!–nextpage–> tag can paginate a post. I’m wondering if there is any plugin that has a setting for something like:

Automatic paginate after NNN words so I can break up long posts automatically. Then, I wouldn’t have to insert the <!–nextpage–> tag. All the paginate plugins I come across deal with paginating the blog and not at the post level. Is there a plugin for pagination at the post level?

  • I’m looking for something like this as well. I publish long articles and a plugin to automatically paginate posts would be really helpful.

    not to your readers.

automatic pagination would break your pages arbitrarily, which invariably means breaking them in the most stupid and illogical spots.

do your readers a favour and paginate your long posts manually, after you’ve written the thing, at the point of proof-reading.
