Auto Link Tags

Would it be possible to create a plugin add on or hack for ultimate tag warrior which would automatically link any tags within posts to the tag page?

I have a lot of tags, and by a lot, I mean hundreds, and thats growing every day. So I’m not sure if an on the fly thing would be possible or load consuming.
