diismalleyI cannot install plugins from auto install on the dashboard, nor can I upload from my computer (get error message Plugin Install Failed) so I uploaded via ftp. The plugins are not showing up in the Manage Plug-in area. When I changed the php.ini file as described in other posts and tried to upload one of them again I got a message saying I had the latest version. On checking my ftp they are definitely there but still can't access them.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Also another quick question - does it make any difference if I upload via ftp in ANSI or Unicode mode?
