    Hi guys,

I am having a problem with You Tube videos. Sometimes, when I copy and paste the URL in my post it shows the video embedded. However, other times, it just shows the URL. Am I doing something wrong? If anyone knows how to resolve this or has experienced the same issue please get in touch with me.

    Thanks

    Hi fembiz,

Are you copying the embed code from youtube, or using some other means to show the video?

Are you sure that you're always pasting the code in the code editor and not the wysiwyg editor?

Can you supply a url to a page that is not working correctly so we can review?

    Hi imh_brad,

Thanks for your response. When I do it with the embed code, it works fine always. However, sometimes I just copy and paste the URL from my address bar. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. This is what baffles me because it should either work all the time or not at all. The code is always pasted in the visual editor and not the HTML editor. Should I be pasting it in the HTML editor? You can check it out here http://www.mydestination.com/blog/?p=1019&preview=true

    Thanks for your help

I read up on the documentation further and:

WordPress will automatically turn that into a YouTube embed when the post is viewed.

I'm thinking this may be a plugin / theme issue. Have you tried the usual:
    1. switching to default theme
    2. disabling plugins

... to see if one of those two is causing a conflict with the youtube code?

Well, it seems like it is not doing that for some reason. Atleast not all the time. I have tried switching to the default theme and disabling the plugins and the problem is still there

same problem here... even worse, because in the homepage I can open the embed youtube url via teaser post. But when I open the video it shows nothing.

Hi artdias90, can you supply us a URL to the page with the issue so we can test and view the problem?
