Auto Correct Invalid HTML? (4 posts)

Does such a tool exist by any chance?

I'm aware that my theme / site has invalid html and I'd like to correct that... trouble is I don't know that much about the inner workings of valid html etc.

I've seen the various online validators that just list all the issues, but I've yet to find anything which goes to the next step, and attempts to either suggest corrections, or actually implement corrective actions for the issues.

    Does such a tool exist?

I'm not sure if such a tool exists but I find that most XHTML code that isn't validating correctly can easily be fixed if you have even a basic understanding.

For instance, the W3C XHTML validator informs you of where the errors have taken place and how you could fix them.

I did try to use the W3C validator but it churned out a pile of errors and made recommendations I didn't understand (e.g. cant use "li" in this context).

    I'll keep hunting for something...
