• I recently installed the Auto Comment Plugger plugin and am wondering if there is any way to prevent it from displaying links to sites from comments that haven’t been approved yet?
I’m asking because I’ve been getting tons of spam comments from “Texas Holdem” and even though my WP blacklist & “Kittens Friendly Comments” prevents them from being posted, a link to his site is still displayed by the auto comment plugger _every_ time he posts…which is a lot. 🙁
Anyone know how to modify the plugin to prevent this? Any help you can give would be very much appreciated!

  • If the comment is not being displayed on your blog before it is approved, then is it a problem at all?
I am sorry I have a little trouble understanding what you are trying to do. Also, the auto-commenter plugin is not well described, for me to understand what’s going on…

The Auto Plugger puts a link to a commentor’s site underneath the post they have commented on – you can see an example at my site. It does this even if I haven’t approved a comment.
So, for example, if a spammer posts a comment but it hasn’t been approved yet, the comment itself will not show up when you go to the comments section of my blog. But their name, with a link to their site, will be automatically displayed underneath the entry.
    Does that make sense?
