    I am having trouble w/ the author’s page…. .com/author/admin/

In my post where it say’s by admin. I would like that to link back to my main home page not the author’s page ending in: .com/author/admin/

I would also like to disable the author’s page so it doesn’t exist.

I am new to this so hoping someone might know of an easy way to go about this since I don’t know coding. Maybe a plugin???

    Thanks in advance.

    Lori

  • The easiest thing I can think of at the moment is making a redirect rule in your htaccess file, moving anything ending in /author/admin to your home page?

I am very new to this so I downloaded the .htaccess plugin last night & just couldn’t figure out the redirect. I ended up messing something up & my website went down w/ a Forbidden Error so I got into cpanel & deleted the .htaccess plugin & my website was back up. I reinstalled the plugin but haven’t touched anything yet. Any suggestions on how to dsable the author page and link that by admin in my posts to my homepage?

Could you post a link to your site?

Hopefully I didn’t mess too much up when I deleted .htaccess file 🙁
