I use WordPress as a CMS and I need to work out a way to allow certain users the ability to edit their own pages (pages not posts)
I understand that the capabilities of the user role "author" is restricted to editing posts only. It would be great if there was a way to give "authors" page editing privileges for their own pages. Any tips or pointers to where to modify the code would be appreciated.
Look at Roles and Capabilities and in the Resource section at the bottom is the link to the Role Manager plugin.

Thanks MichaelH,
"Roles and Capabilities" shows that the author role can edit posts only (not pages).
I am using WordPress as a CMS for pages only... there are no posts involved.
What I am looking for is a way for an author to edit pages. I realize the default WordPress package does not allow this.
I notice my question has been asked many times before... so far, no solution. It would be a great feature.
Regards
Okay, guess you didn't see my suggestion to look at the Resource section of Roles and Capabilities and look at the Role Manager Plugin.
So, here's the link to that plugin:

Thanks again MichaelH,
You guessed right... Sorry, I missed the bit about the Resource section at the bottom and the link to the Role Manager Plugin. (Roles and Capabilities is a long page :-)
I will try the Role Manager Plugin and report back.
Thanks again!
