I am working with a team of authors who don't know grammar. The most common mistakes that they make are their/there/they're and your/you're. They also use apostrophes when they're not needed.
I don't think that there are any grammar checks that can correct these errors, but I'm hoping that there might be a plug-in that could help?
Does anyone have any suggestions? Even a plug-in in safari could help. I cannot be the only one with this problem.

A grammar checker as a plug-in? That would be a great thing to have, but then again so would an intelligence-checker. I have searched high and low for this type of a feature and have even considered creating a plugin for it, but Grammar is such a hard thing to code for. The English language makes no sense to start with. :)
If you find something, let us all know, I am sure there are others that would be interested. Your post has renewed mine for sure, and I will be looking as well.

I think the idea of making a grammar check plug-in is too large in scope. Better to have smaller plug-ins that address more specific grammar issues?
I have a few ideas for stuff that could work. What if, every time you used an apostrophe, or you used the word their, you would get a prompt with suggested alternatives? My writers aren't idiots, they just tend to make the same careless errors over and over. A little alert could help. It could even be programmable from the back end, so that each administrator could load it up with the most common mistakes.
There is a way to hold posts for approval if they have key words in them, but that seems a little drastic.

Too bad I didn't see this thread awhile ago. I'm working on spelling, style, and grammar checking for WordPress (and other platforms). I try to detect misused their/there, where/were, you're/your, etc. It's not perfect (as this is impossible) but it's pretty good. http://www.afterthedeadline.com
