Authors can’t edit their comments since 2.2.2

Hi, since updating from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 my users with the role “author” can’t edit their own comments anymore.
There’re no options displayed between the brackets [ ] in the comments tab.
I ruled out a database mess up, the ID in wp_users and the user_id in wp_comments are ok.
