   From what I read, user level designation of "Author" should be able to edit their own comments and posts. But, when I set up a user at that level, they can add posts without moderation, but are not able to edit or delete their own posts. If I go to the next level, it allows them to edit everything, which I don't want. What am I missing?

   Is is possible you have the Role Manager Plugin on? You might have changed the role settings in either the manage file or in the user's settings.
