Hi all, doing a google search i saw that my site must have been hacked, and the author names of my posts as displayed in google were changed. However, when you actually look at the posts on my site, the author name doesn't appear to be hacked.

What I am seeing is that posts show up in a google result as "By 2g1c 2 girls 1 cup" which is obviously not me.

When I go onto a page and search in my browser on that page for "2g1c" there shows up one result, but I don't see it on the actual page.

I'm not sure how to remedy this and really don't want my site associated with this meme. Can anyone help me out?

(to see what I am talking about google "site:squaremethodology.com 2g1c" and you will see where and how this is showing up)

    thanks!

Search for this link within your pages/posts:
    http://www.esmtb.org/

Appears hacker had some how modified the author of that page or post. That's where I would start checking.

Probably not a bad idea to change all passwords:
    - all users in dashboard
    - ftp accounts
    - hosting company password

...i found a place in the wordpress theme header section (under 'edit themes') , this is the end of the header section. 'XXXXXX' mark where the hacked name was.

is this whole block of code malicious? i changed the wording in the XXXXXXX-section, google search still shows the old result, but the search string is not finding anything on the website at least...

[hack code removed - please don't post that here
    ]

    That would certainty do it.

Replacement of your theme files from a virgin source would not be a bad idea as well.

Your theme is well over 2 years old as well and no longer supported.

I recommend considering moving to currently supported theme. It's very possible there might be some compromisable php scripting within that old theme.
