• Hello,

I LOVE this plugin- you have done an excellent job so far!
Quick query- when someone registers as a user and views their profile, there is the section to add their image for their Gravitar- however you can select an image click upload and then nothing happens.

    – Why?? Are you already aware of this problem?

    Thanks,
    Danielle

No I am sorry, I believe that gravatar images are handled on an extenal site, common for all websites.

I could upload the image for the user in the admin backend and didn’t have an issue…. seems like the ability to do the same via the frontend you have enabled breaks this ability…..???

    Hi again,

I am 99.9% sure it isn’t possible for a to upload an image as gravatar, it should be changed at http://www.gravatar.com.

You must have a plugin that enables this. But even if this is the case, I do not understand how Frontier Post can break this.

Have you tried to disable Frontier Post, to see if it is possible again ?

    Hi Finnj,

If I disable Frontier Post then I can’t test if it works from the front end…

Perhaps you should register as a user and see what I cam talking about & what is shown as well…

Please understand that Fontier Post is only designed to add/edit/delete standard posts, not pages and not profiles.

Of cause I cant be 100% sure, but I am almost sure it will be impossible to se Frontier Post to upload a profile image or Gravatar – Are you sure you you didnt test another plugin at the same time.

Ok maybe I am trying the wrong plugin then as I have something that manages users, and once they are logged in then they can use your plugin to add/edit/delete posts.

    Hi candlesrecharge,

Frontier Post is designed to add/edit/delete users own posts.

I tried to register (user: wpfrontier), and you are correct you can not upload images.

I am sorry that I misunderstood you.

I am pretty sure the problem is in Theme My Login. If you select disable admin access, the user will not be able to upload images, as this also disables ajax.

I had exactly the same issue (and it drove me nuts), this is why I added the option to disable the admin bar in Frontier Post.

So to solve this, remove the tick in disable admin access in Theme My Login and disable the admin bar in Frontier Post for the relevant profile (ex Author)

Be aware that disabling admnin access in Theme My Login and hide the admin bar in Frontier Post is not the same – Disabling access is stronger, disabling the admin bar is more to make it easier for the user and hides the backend.

    Hi Finnj,

I appreciate you taking the time to see what I was talking about 🙂

In Theme My Login there is an option to enable Ajax – I have done that now- can you please see if that solves the issue?

Also do you know of a way that I can enable the social fields that usually appear in a user profile?

    Thanks,
    Danielle

It still doesn’t work, I am pretty sure you need to remove the tick in restrict admin access. problem is the author of Them My Login doesn’t support it anymore, so it is not possible to get support there.

About the social fields – no, I am sorry – a guess could be in your theme.
