• Here’s my index file, it looks like the author field would appear but it’s not.

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    <div id=”content_box”>

    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/l_sidebar.php’); ?>

    <div id=”content” class=”posts”>

    <?php if (have_posts()) : ?>

    <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>

    <h2>” rel=”bookmark” title=”Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>”><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    <h4><?php the_time(‘F jS, Y’) ?><!– by <?php the_author() ?> –> · <?php comments_popup_link(‘No Comments’, ‘1 Comment’, ‘% Comments’); ?></h4>
    <div class=”entry”>
    <?php the_content(‘read_more’, strip_teaser, ‘more_file’); ?>
    </div>
    <p class=”tagged”><span class=”add_comment”><?php comments_popup_link(‘→ No Comments’, ‘→ 1 Comment’, ‘→ % Comments’); ?></span>Tags: <?php the_category(‘ · ‘) ?></p>
    <div class=”clear”></div>

    <?php endwhile; ?>

    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/navigation.php’); ?>

    <?php else : ?>

    <h2 class=”page_header center”>Not Found</h2>

    <div class=”entry”>
    <p class=”center”>Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.</p>
    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . “/searchform.php”); ?>
    </div>

    <?php endif; ?>

    </div>

    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/r_sidebar.php’); ?>

    </div>

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Remove the commented out tags – <!-- --> on each side of the author tag call.

    Can anybody share code to link to the archive for the author to wrap around the author field?

    I’ve just updated to 2.3.2, which seems to have several different “index.php” files.

    Which one, in which folder, is the one that needs to be edited so the author names appear?

    the one inside your chosen theme’s directory. In a defualt install, thats wp-content/themes/kubrick/index.php
