The Parent Attribute and the Template Attribute are two different things...the Template Attribute has no parent/child relationship.
Could you rephrase your question, please.

Template Hierarchy
After Selecting the following options for a page post:
Attributes
Parent: HJN Feed
Template: Default
Order: 0
All page post follwing the above reflect HJN Feed as parent, even if I select
Parent: Main Page(No Parent)
Template: Default
Order: 0
Link to see problem, please.
Permalink: http://www.horsesportsmedia.com/?page_id=14/?page_id=47
is what I receive when I post a test page with
Parent: Main Page(No Parent)
Template: Default
Order: 0
The post is just page_id = 14
I had no problem before making the change to HJN Feed
Be interested in see your whole list of Pages as displayed by the Pages Widget.
Also, try changing your permalink structure to the default.
There are only four pages: Go to http://www.horsesportsmedia.com and you will see three of them in the nav bar.
You can also view the fourth http://www.horsesportsmedia.com/?page_id=47 which is just a test page
Permalink Structure is set at default. I can give you access to site if you want, but I need an email address tyo send you username and password
I'm a bit confused by the problem.
Change to the WordPress Default Theme, deactivate all Plugins, remove all Widgets, and add at least one Page that has something other than Main as the Parent.
In the sidebar do your Pages show with the proper 'hierarchy', meaning that one Page is listed indented under the parent Page?
I chahged to the default theme and removed all widgets and plugins. You can again view at http://www.horsesportsmedia.com
When I added Test 2 Page it appears as
Permalink: http://www.horsesportsmedia.com/?page_id=14/?page_id=50
Weird. Do you have an .htaccess file you can rename?
And using the Default Permalink structure.
Not being much help here...
Under Administration > Settings > General, make sure WordPress and Blog addresses are both: http://www.horsesportsmedia.com
Test 3 was added with the archive tempalte and gets;
Permalink: http://www.horsesportsmedia.com/?page_id=14/?page_id=53
It's got to be the Settings->General thing I pointed to.
You are correct. Static entrance page which is .../?page_id=14 was also set as Blog Address.
Changed and all appears to be well
Thanks again for all of your help. I manage 6 different Blogs and this was a weird problem for me.
You are welcome.
