I came in this morning, and tried to login to my site. After several attempts, I could not.

When I checked my DB, I noticed that the attacker had changed my username and password - or rather, taken over my username, changed my password, and reduced me to a subscriber.

Anyone else who has experienced this scenario? What can be done about it?

Attention: hackers are on the prowl. And the guys via the link below have hacked me twice:

    Hello,

Which version of wordpress you are using.

Is your server secured. Is the plugins you are using secure?

You need to do a pentest of the website, secure it and then you can let it out in the market.

    Thanks

    Do not panic.

You just need to secure your website first so that the hackers cant hack it again.

I have scenarios like this before . I am a wordpress and Server security expert and i know this happens all time.

    Thanks
