  • Maybe your server blocks it?
Maybe the files are too large and fail to upload.

Here is the help page for attachments
be sure to read the whole thing

Do this as a test to see if uploads work at all on your server:
Try allowing txt, then use notepad to type a simple test.txt file.
    Does that work?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the speedy response.
I tried with the text file. I still did not receive it. Just a blank email.
My maximum file upload setting is 64mb.
But i can do all kinds of upload from wordpress add page/post, for example add media etc.
How come uploads work perfectly from there?
Any more help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    I don’t know.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

Just deactivated every plugin, and that did not solve the problem.
And also switched themes, no luck sir.

I don’t know why your server won’t upload.

You could try the beta 4.0

The ultimate solution for large files is to have your users send you large files with a large file hosting service.
