Attach articles from certain tags to specific category

    Hi, i’m just migrate a huge site (7k+ articles) from drupal to wordpress… and i have a problem with approximately 2000 posts that do not have categories, but have tags.

    Is there a way to make these posts have a category depending on their tags?

    Example:

    Article 1: Tags: ‘apples’ or ‘bananas’ or ‘pears’ -> category ‘fruits’
    Article 2: Tags: ‘parrots’ or ‘hawks’ or ‘chicken’ -> category ‘birds’

    I’m not looking for deleting tags, i’m just want to add a category to this articles.
